Alexis McPhail

Ballet, Jazz & Tap


Alexis grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA and trained in various styles of dance from the age of 4. During her studio training, Alexis was a member of several competitive teams, including her Mill Creek High School Dance Team, where she was an integral member of two state championship teams. At the collegiate level, Alexis trained at Oklahoma City University's Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in American Dance Pedagogy. At Oklahoma City University, Alexis had extensive training in classical ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, and rhythm tap. She was president of the Students of Arts Management organization (SAM) whose mission is to connect students to professionals in the dance and entertainment industry. Alexis has furthered her training through various in-studio intensives, including five Rockette Summer Intensives. She also attended Joffrey South, where she trained in ballet, jazz and hip-hop. Alexis has been teaching and choreographing various styles of dance for four years to children of all ages. She has also served as a competition judge for Dance Masters of America (DMA). Recently, Alexis moved to New York City to continue her dance education. In addition, she is teaching and choreographing at multiple studios in the Metro New York City area.
